MAY OUR TEARS EXTINGUISH THE FLAMES

It seems like we live in a world where everything always seems to be talked about. We talk a lot. Words are great and all, but they are only temporary. Their wavelengths fade within seconds and soon after are forgotten by the ones who weren’t listening in the first place. Actions, now actions are what holds strong and true. Everyone can talk about changing the world for the better for generations and generations to come. Is that ever going to change anything though? We complain, brood, and stress about the things we don’t agree with, but when it comes to taking action, we rather just wait for another person to do it. Maybe we are too busy getting worked up about the situation initially to take action against it? Whatever the case may be there has to be a shift in the winds when it comes to instances such as this. Especially, in this day and age where the people who are taking actions are doing it for the completely wrong reasons. Those of us who are morally sound and choose to uphold the bare minimum of human decency have to start being more proactive in our communities. We sit and watch the news and say, “oh that’s tragic when is that going to change?” Well, news flash WE ARE THE CHANGE. You may feel like "just you" isn’t enough, but "just you" is a start. Someone has to start the movement and we all have to continue it. We shouldn’t just follow it because it’s the latest trend or because its current events. If you truly want to make a difference you have to commit your time, efforts, and resources into making that difference happen and lasting.Think about this, you’re waiting for someone to evoke change so, what makes you think that same someone isn’t waiting on you to evoke change as well. Now, we are all sitting around waiting on each other while the world around us is ablaze. This design is a satirical approach to how this new era of human beings behave. Our tears won’t conjure compromises, bring bliss, or even advocate alliances. The only thing that comes from our tears is sympathy and when has sympathy ever solved anything indefinitely? From the weary eyes of someone who is fed up with what is seen on the television or written in articles, the conclusion has been drawn that this generation is delicate, in the subtlest of terms. Let’s go back to the time where people fought for change. Not violently, but with action, peaceful protests, and unity. Apart we are weak, like mice our voices are only a mere squeak. Together we are strong. The wavelengths of our voices can crumble mountains. We have to unite and act, but until then…OUR TEARS WILL NOT EXTINGUISH THE FLAMES.
